Rohini is the favorite nakshatra of the Chandra, the overlord of Moon. Chandra even got into a lot of trouble because of his favoritism to Rohini. But he couldn’t help himself from being completely enraptured by Rohini. So, the FM in Rohini feels really good on many levels. Rohini situated right in the middle of Taurus follows two very fierce nakshatras, Bharani and Krittika where things are being weighed, purified & cut-out. Opposite Rohini in the sky is Jyestha – again with very intense probing energy. In contrast Rohini brings out the tenderness, softness & delicateness of life. She is the maiden of the triple moon goddess, Jyestha being the crone. So, Moon in Rohini brings out the desire, that innocent lust in us. One of my close girlfriends calls this can of energy as ‘yummy’ or ‘delicious’ as it is very pleasurable & enjoyable. According to one version of a mythological tale, Rohini was the daughter of Brahma as well as his first creation & he wanted to mate with her in order to create new life forms. Energies in Rohini also present themselves as something we want to chase or pursue. Naturally, Chandra incessantly pursued Rohini as he was completely consumed by her. Rohini also exemplifies the delicate, tender aspect of the divine feminine. Feminine energy is fierce & powerful, yet it is tender, soft & delicate – it is both. Opposite this FM is the Sun in Jyestha, Scorpio. Sun in Jyestha is shedding light on emotionally intense aspects of you while the FM opposite the Sun in Rohini is harmonizing & connecting us to the sweetness of it all. Find the joy or sweetness in that emotional intensity arising within you. Since Mars is joined this FM at very close degrees, some of you may experience this FM as passion, desire, & lust arising in you (in my opinion, all of it is divine if you tap into its higher vibration). While some of you may experience this energy as intense overflowing outbursts. My recommendation, as always, is to fully experience what’s emerging within you w/o suppressing it. However, when you choose to act on passion or emotions maintain intelligent inner control. From that state of inner control, you can manifest anything in life, because at the end of the day Rohini has immense manifestation power – that’s why Brahma wanted to create life with her
