Deity of Ardra is Rudra, the fierce-warrior form of Shiva. Rudra was invoked on Earth by all the deities to stop Brahma’s apparent incest. After Rudra killed Brahma who had shape-shifted into a deer, Rudra realizes Brahma’s innocence & wails. Rudra’s howling cry takes the form of torrential rains which when hits the soil gives birth to new life

This story is very symbolic for it urges us to look for innocence in the midst of what seems unjust. Tapping into anger over things that are unfair is alright but let the tears of pain begin your healing process. Let the tears also open your heart to new beginnings. It might feel like a good time to cry & let out all the emotions held within – let that cry even be a wail or a howl. You have permission to do so. But once you have wept your heart out, allow yourself to look at the silver-lining; allow yourself to let hope in & begin anew. In the past week, a lot of grief has come up for many of you. Let the energy of this NM transmute your grief too. This would require you to surrender your anger, grief, pain, feeling of abandonment & everything else that churns your insides – surrender it to Rudra & observe his softness transform the fiercest of emotions you carry
