This is Jupiter’s last, albeit short stint in Aquarius for next 12 years. It poked its head in Aquarius earlier this year (from Jun-Sep 2020). Expect similar themes to unravel in the next 4 months as that of summer of 2020. After we have faced our tangible fears in Capricorn, Aquarius is the sign where we are urged to apply all that we have learnt to the benefit of the humankind as a whole. Aquarius is the ultimate sign of giving back. That can create its own problems when we let our minds or egos in the way. Instead of true service to humankind, you can get stuck either in servitude, martyrdom or self-gratifying-arrogance (of how great you are in being of service; eg: current day politicians)

Jupiter is our capacity to be expansive & hopeful in all areas of life. While in Capricorn, this expansive nature of Jupiter was playing at a worldly plane – clinging to materialistic resources, feeling expansive only through hard-earned money, worried about health, and/or thoroughly questioning our source of inspiration/faith/hope (individually or institutionally (religion/government/healthcare systems/economics etc)). Now that you have gotten a taste of what lack of hope/inspiration/motivation can feel like & how to discover faith in the most hopeless situations, Jupiter in Aquarius is urging you to apply that to betterment of the world as a whole, in your own little ways

Aquarius is a fixed air sign that can get stuck in its own fixed ideas of service; for eg: present & past dictators, atrocious monarchs/authoritarians, or cultish spiritual & religious institutions who are consumed by their ideas of what is best for all humanity. Jupiter is the ruler of two dual signs (Sagittarius & Pisces) where it is driven by ability to exponentially transform. In a fixed sign like Aquarius, Jupitarian qualities can feel stuck, where instead of making philosophical leaps, you are required to work step-by-step, in baby steps – while keeping in mind the impact of your immediate karma on the earth as whole. It’s the difference between coming up with a theory & deriving all equations in support of that theory

This is good time to undertake things with long-term impact; like:
- Planting & watering trees (congruent with symbology of Kumbha or Aquarius)
- starting or associating with an NGO
- participating in research that impacts health of many in the long-run
- working on economic models that will gradually & eventually close the rich-poor gap
- participating in government or running for a local election
- engaging with mass media & social media to educate/influence/cultivate the thought-processes of future
Basically, anything that helps with distribution of power. Jupiter is the Guru of Devas; so, while it philosophically recognizes Dharma, it may not always feel comfortable getting its hands dirty. To be honest, most of us are happy holding power for ourselves (by either being the martyr or the protagonist) rather than authentically & willingly distribute it. Think of Mahatma Gandhi & Babasaheb Ambedkar – their vision of India’s freedom from colonial rule & what they had to do for that vision; it’s a similar energy unfolding. What would help on a personal level is focusing on the spiritual qualities of the nakshatras Jupiter transits through while in Aquarius: Dhanistha (focus on eternal & spiritual wealth), Shatabhishak (research esoteric healing of the mind, body & spirit) & Purva Ashadha (follow the glimpses of eternal light). As Jupiter transits through Aquarius, it will help you surrender to the greater vision that is shared by all involved
