Yes, the moon is exalted this full moon in Krittika while we experience the lunar eclipse in many parts of the world. Is ot good or bad? Well for those looking for a simplistic answers, it’s neither – actually is is both! Let’s examine it more closely
.
Rahu & Ketu are 2 points in the sky where the Sun, Moon & Earth align to form an eclipse. This alignment is happening in the Taurus-Scorpio axis for a little over a year. Rahu & Ketu are exalted & stable in Taurus & Scorpio respectively. But again they are the lunar nodes & the changes they bring are unpredictable. So we can only speculate the probability of transformation. The lunar eclipse in Taurus is a time where you can set intentions or set in motions or attempt to manifest things for the long haul, eg: stable structures, routines, food/money habits, investments, creating things of value etc. Depending on what houses Taurus & Scorpio are in your chart, this may have a specific flavor for you personally. Collectively, you may notice immense changes with economics, inflation, stock prices, government policies etc that may affect the future (Rahu) physical well being & resources (Taurus) of all. Opposite Taurus, Ketu in Scorpio joined the Sun, is allowing us to go deep within our psyches like a focused, powerful, oversized drill (like the one seen in the movie Matrix) to awaken from our own insecurities, illusions & subconscious biases. If you allow it, Ketu right now has the potential to illuminate & release what’s holding you back from our full potential. However, if you are not aligned & centered, the magnificent potential of the nodes can scatter you, feel chaotic & spin you completely out – that’s why the nodes are unpredictable
.
How do you align yourself with the immense cosmic energies available now? Connect with Earth & water. Talk a stroll in the grass or on the beach bare feet, connect with a natural water body (swim in a river/lake/ocean), set intentions with candles, release past resentment via cord-cutting or writing letters, practice stillness & solitude, or simply meditate. Remember Krittika is the nakshatra where the rishis started many of their fire ceremonies – to invoke & manifest cosmic energies on earth. You have that kind of potential if you align your intent with the energies unraveling around this time. On a lunar eclipse, the moon goes through all of its waxing & waning phases within a few hours – so the body may experience immense change – hormonal/nutritional/wear & tear etc. in a short period of time. That’s why it may be good to fast during the actual hours of the lunar eclipse
.
My intention during this eclipse cycle is to create sustainable & stable routines in my life that will allow me to:
(1) show up & serve more with my astrology & spiritual practices,
(2) create prosperity for all those who I engage with, &
(3) create a community / tribe that feels like a family.
This may require me to face some of my deepest fears & insecurities. What are your intentions during this cycle?
